Well, these seem like they are obvious and perhaps the same for the majority of Americans. I could be wrong.
I'm talking about Facebook and Instagram. As much as I'd love to come up with something creative here, that really is the biggest time waster in my life. I don't do a ton on pinterest and I don't have a twitter, so it's really those two that consume my wasted moments. However, I am hyper aware of how much time I do/don't spend on them. I'm overly paranoid about becoming the kind of person that is just constantly on their phone.
Even then, it's more than I would like. One time I decided that every time I browsed those two apps on my phone I would set the timer and just track my time all day. Do it sometime.
I would also say I'm not a social media basher. It's easy to hate on, but I like to give credit, too. Four years ago during election season I did a major purge on Facebook and I never looked back. There are still plenty of people that post political things in my feed, and I'm okay with that, we should care about politics. But the extreme and hateful posting people were let go. Since then, I've found my Facebook experience to be much more enjoyable. I love seeing what my family is up to, I love getting to know people that I didn't actually know that well in real life.
It's funny how some people you might end up liking less, but some people you end up liking more! I have a friend from high school that I wasn't that close to that I love following, another one that is really my sister's friend from growing up. I have people that make me laugh that have no idea that they have an admirer in me.
So it's not all bad, that's all I'm saying. But it certainly can become a black hole.
Anything else I do with my downtime I don't feel like it's a "waste"... reading, going for a walk. The only other thing could be TV, but I don't watch that much, only my favorite show The Challenge, which most people would consider a waste of time, haha.

The challenge is a waste of time for sure haha. Also I follow some randoms who I enjoy too, like one of my roommates exes, and someone who went to our high school that i didn't even know.
